BIOCURE
BIOACTIVE SEEDS
SUITABLE
TO ORGANIC FARMING
The exclusive BIOCURE lawn seed treatment improves the growth capacity of each plant and increases resistance to diseases, creating a beautiful and healthy lawn.
The BIOCURE treatment is the result of a unique industrial process that allows each individual seed to be coated with a very thin film containing rhizobacteria, humic acids and biostimulants.
What makes this technology so special is the completely cold conditioning process to guarantee and not alter the germination capacity of the seed and to preserve the vitality of the microorganisms until the complete maturation of the plant.
In contact with the soil, the active ingredients of BIOCURE create an ideal and protected environment for the rapid germination of the seed and the development of the plant.
A-list is an independent, non-profit American industry initiative that promotes the development of sustainable lawn products and varieties that perform their function with less maintenance requirements, to the benefit of the environment.
A-LIST monitors a voluntary assessment program that includes analyzes such as water conservation, fertility and traffic reduction, heat and drought stress tolerance, all without fungicide or insecticide applications.
Products that meet the approval criteria may use the A-LIST symbol for their marketing and receive the approved A-LIST tag for use in packaging.
To be approved A-LIST the variety must have demonstrated above average performance according to the following parameters:
• High drought tolerance, measured as a percentage of green cover for each of the two trial years. The tests are carried out in at least two different locations.
• Overall lawn quality acceptable or improved for each of the two years of probation in at least two different locations.
• Evaluation of the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program (NTEP).
For new cultivars that have met the standards of the A-LIST trials, final approval will be issued only after their inclusion in the NTEP trials.
Mountain View Seeds, in collaboration with public and private research centers, has worked on the creation of new cultivars that demonstrate, in addition to the beautiful aesthetic appearance and resistance to diseases, also an ability to cover areas thinned out by wear and stress conditions environmental, accelerating their recovery.
The research process begins with the selection of the best varieties that demonstrate a capacity for lateral development, therefore aggressive tillering, great resistance to diseases and a good habit, and then crossing them together until obtaining lateral spread varieties that are positioned at the tops of the NTEP rankings for resistance to trampling.
Tall fescue is basically a species that follows a more vertical than lateral growth pattern.
However, in the varietal selection process, the ability to create rhizomes has been observed, which, as in the case of bluegrass, forms new distinct plants adjacent to the mother plant, significantly increasing the population density and accelerating recovery.
